Internship Description: Qualified candidates would work with all facets of a NCAA Division 1 FBS FOOTBALL Strength and Conditioning program. This is an UNPAID position. However, the position offers the opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning, as well as the fulfillment of credit hours towards a degree program. Responsibilities include, but not are not limited to: assisting with the daily implementation of off-season training for the Football team, set-up and breakdown of daily training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, data collection, data entry as well as participation in the internship curriculum. Volunteers will have the opportunity to gain expose to devices and systems such as Catapult and PUSH. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and possess a strong work ethic. Preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body (USAW, CSCS, CSCCa), previous coaching experience and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic and Strength movements. Applicants will be asked to submit a video demonstrating coaching of either (a) Power lift or (b) Olympic lift. Internships DescriptionUniversity of South Florida Department of Olympic Sports Performance is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Intern Coaches. This is an UNPAID position; however, this opportunity offers a valuable professional recommendation for advancement in the field of strength & conditioning and ability to sit for the CSCCa SCCC certification. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with the daily implementation of in-season and off-season training with Olympic Sports, set-up and breakdown of daily strength and conditioning training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, data collection, as well as participation in an internship curriculum. Internships DescriptionUSF Sports Performance is looking for highly motivated candidates for the Applied Sports Science/Performance internship to gain experience in a collaborative high-performance environment. This is an UNPAID position; however, this opportunity offers a valuable professional recommendation for advancement in the field of Sports Performance, completion of credits towards a degree and/or ability to sit for the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches SCCC certification. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with the collection of data using sports science technologies and assessments (Catapult GPS, Nordbord, Forcedecks, Push, Tendo, FMS, Polar Heart Rate, Wellness/RPE questionnaires). Attending sports practices for tracking of live load metrics, trimming and splitting of sessions, and assisting with set up/breakdown. Assisting Sports Science coordinator with all aspects of the physical development of Men’s and Women’s soccer programs (weight room sessions, recovery sessions, pre-practices movement sessions, game days). Participation in an internship curriculum. Cleaning and organization of weight room and sports science related technologies. Ideal candidates should be available Monday-Friday for 20 hours a week.
